‘Higher Secondary Laboratory Manual of Chemistry’ is a Lab manual on experiments in Chemistry curriculum, prepared for the Class XI Semester 1 and Semester 2 students under the New Curriculum and Syllabus 2024 introduced by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination.

This practical workbook has been segregated into 4 sections namely Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D. Each segment has been incorporated with Basic laboratory techniques, Experiments denoting Characterisation and Purification of Chemical Substances, Environment Related Experiments and Experiments on Quantitative Estimation (Volumetric Analysis) respectively. Viva Voce section has been added after every experiment.

Project Work hasalso been included in this book. Projects on Preparation of Standard Solutions, Preparation of Inorganic Compounds, Study of Acidity are included.

Appendix is also a part of this book.

Each experiment has to be noted in Practical copies after the lab work is complete. The observations, descriptions of noted observations are to be documented. This book contains all these above-mentioned items in the section named ‘Sample of Laboratory Notebook Writing’ that will help students to document their observations easily.

Examination Answer Sheet Sample for Class XI has been added as well. Sample Question Paper is also added.
